BLOOMINGTON, ILL. -- The Concordia University Chicago women's tennis team traveled south to take on the Titans of Illinos Wesleyan University, falling 7-0.

Doubles
The duo of Tatiana Overton (Bolingbrook, Ill.) and Amirah Shakir (Dekalb, Ill.) battled in the number one spot where they managed to pick up two points, but fall short in their battle. On court three, Evian Dubon (Franklin Park, Ill.) and Jessica Parker (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) also fought as they picked up three points, once again falling just short. Despite some intense rallies, the Cougars would fail to secure a point in doubles.

Singles
On the singles side, Parker battled most intensely for the Cougars picking up a combined six points, two in the first set and four in the second set. Despite the hard fought back-and-forth, Parker would fall short by scores of 6-2 and 6-4. 

Mary Curtis (Worden, Ill.) also picked up points in her match, falling 6-2 and 6-3. 

The Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday, October 2nd as they head back to River Forest to take on fellow conference opponent Concordia University Wisconsin at 4:00 pm. Coverage can be found at cucougars.com/coverage.
