AURORA, Ill. – The Concordia University Chicago men's soccer team played under the lights this evening down at Aurora University for a NACC matchup. The Cougars battled, but couldn't stop the Spartans' offense, and fell 7-0.

- Filip Tokarz (Bartlett, Ill.) led the team with five of the Cougars' 17 shots.
- Omar Figueroa (Chicago, Ill.) put both of his shots on frame.
How it Happened
The Spartans took the lead just 18 seconds into the game. However, this spurred the Cougars offense with
Xavier Avila (Berwyn, Ill.),

Garrett Poynter (Noblesville, Ind.) each creating attacking chances for themselves, while Figueroa had his shot saved by the Spartans' keeper. Aurora doubled their lead in the fifth minute. In the seventh minute, Tokarz had a prime chance for the Cougars, beating the goalkeeper, but somehow the Spartans' defense was able to keep Tokarz's shot out of the net. th minute and kept a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Aurora quickly added to their total, going up 4-0 in the 50
th minute. In response, the Cougars prowled up the field, but Tokarz's shot cracked off the crossbar. The Spartans would score again in the 56
th, 64
th, and 67
th minutes.
Juan Moresco (Mercedes, Soriano) had a shot saved in the last ten minutes of the game, but the Spartans took the game 7-0.
