ELMHURST, ILL. --- The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's track and field team traveled to Elmhurst University today for the Elmhurst Twilight Invitational. With what was originally a two-day meet, all events ended up moved to today in order to combat the oncoming weather. With this, the Cougars were able to compete across the board in multiple events.
Notable Cougar Performances:
- Picking up the highest finish on the day, Jerzey Allen (Bevier, Mo.) placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.83 seconds
- For the 3000-meter, Tegan Oas (Shingle Springs, Calif.) placed seventh with a new PR of 11:43.33 and Izzy Fairless (Royal Oak, Mich.) placed eighth with a new PR of 11:46.11
- Oas also picked up an additional seventh place finish in javelin
- Aniyah Isom (Chicago, Ill.) finished off the placements with an eighth place in long jump
Cougar Personal Records:
- In the 100-meter, Keren Llort (Cicero, Ill.) snagged a new time of 13.55 seconds
- For the 200-meter, Llort made a new time of 29 seconds and Allen made a time as well at 27.71 seconds
- Also grabbing a new time in the 3000-meter was Lydia Anderson (Carpentersville, Ill.) at 12:11.75
- In throws, Elizabeth Clouse (Jackson, Mich.) picked up a mark of 27.77m in the hammer throw
- Ariel Easterwood (St. Louis, Mo.) made a new mark in the long jump with a distance of 4.41m
