Danville, Ky.- The Concordia Chicago Cougars (CUC) faced off in their last game of the weekend, Sunday March 17th, against the Centre College Colonels. Despite battling in extra innings, the Cougars came up short 5-4. 
 
Inside the Box
● 
Yashion Boswell (Lynwood, Ill.) led the Cougars offensively, recording three hits on the day including an RBI. 
Tyler Krater (Phoenix, Ariz.) also drove in a run. 
 
● Michael Kasik (Chandler, Ariz.) also gained an RBI with his solo homerun in the fourth.
● David Deimling (Bloomingdale, Ill.) closed out the game for CUC, throwing 2.1 innings striking out three and giving up only one unearned run. 
 
How it Happened
● The Colonels got on top first scoring three runs in the third inning with a string of four total hits and a walk. Leaving the score at 3-0.
 
● The Cougars fought back in the fourth with a Kasik solo shot putting CUC on the board. The score was now 3-1 still in favor of Centre. 
● Centre put up another run in the sixth inning as a result of a triple followed by an RBI double. 
 
● Coming alive in the seventh, the Cougars put up three runs. Boswell singled on a bunt to score Elijah Hickman (Rensselaer, Ind.) followed by a balk call causing Alejandro Muñoz (Evergreen Park, Ill) to score from third. Krater then singled to right center scoring the third run of the inning. The score was now tied 4-4. 
 
 
● Despite the extra inning battle, the Cougars fell short, unable to get anything going in the tenth. The Colonels walked it off on an error leaving the final score at 5-4.
