Inside the Box
How It Happened
It was a quick start for the Stars, as they came down the field and took an early lead in the fourth minute. However, after a foul in the box, the Cougars earned a penalty kick. Saldivar stepped up and placed it in the bottom corner to tie the game, 1-1, in the 12th minute.

The stalemate was short lived, as the Stars found the back of the net six minutes later and retook the lead 2-1. Concordia would hold Dominican to one-goal difference into halftime.

In the second half, Sheriff and the defense denied the Stars for the first 25 minutes. Sheriff made three saves in that time, while Concordia's defense limited the quality of shots for Dominican.

Nonetheless, the Stars found a way through and scored back-to-back goals in the 74th and 76th minute. Hirayama and Calderon would create opportunities up front for the Cougars but didn't find the net. Dominican took the game, 4-1.

Dominican (10-5-3, 9-1-2 NACC) has secured their spot in the NACC Playoffs, while Concordia awaits the results of two other NACC matchups, which will determine the seeding and who moves on to the post season.
