RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Concordia Chicago women's soccer team (7-4-1 (3-1-1 NACC)) faced off against Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) (7-2 (4-0 NACC)) this afternoon on its home turf. It was a defensive battle from the start, with Cougars on the backfoot, falling 3-0 to the Scarlet Hawks.

- Brooke Sheriff (Simi Valley, Calif.) made seven saves in the first 80 minutes of play.
- Katelyn Wagner (Lagrange, Ky.) totaled three saves in the final 10 minutes.

How It Happened
The Scarlet Hawks immediately powered down the field, as Concordia's defense knocked away two quick corners from IIT. Sheriff made multiple saves throughout the half, including a diving save at the 24-minute mark to keep the game scoreless.
However, IIT would be able to find the back of the net twice in the span of eight minutes to take a 2-0 lead into the break. It was all IIT in the second half as well, as the Scarlet Hawks held the Cougars to zero shots all game. Sheriff came up big for the Cougars again in the 54
th minute, keeping the ball out of the front post.
The Scarlet Hawks were able to squeak another one into the net in the 86
th minute and take the game 3-0.
