Inside the Box
- Auloni Burnell (Riverside, Calif.) tallied eight saves on the night.

First Half
First half soccer proved to be a defensive battle for the Cougars as the Scarlet Hawks hammered 12 shots to the Cougars' two. With a strong Cougar midfield able to strip the Scarlet Hawks of many opportunities they were unable to retain possession on the offensive end.
Second Half
Second half action proved no different as the Scarlet Hawks remained in the driver's seat. The Cougars successfully worked defensively early in the half, but relied heavily on the work of Burnell in the goal. As the Scarlet Hawks continued to wear down the Cougars a shot off the crossbar in the 56
th minute and successfully recovered by Burnell would keep the game quiet for a while longer.
A few minutes later another shot from the Scarlet Hawks off the crossbar in the 63
rd minute kept the Cougars and Scarlet Hawks hushed.
A handball in the box in the 75
th minute would give the Scarlet Hawks a penalty kick, ultimately allowing the first goal of the game. Less than four minutes later the Scarlet Hawks would find the back of the net to go up 2-0.
Relentless on offense, the Scarlet Hawks sank the dagger in with their third goal coming in the 89
th minute, ultimately downing the Cougars 3-0.
The Cougars return home on Sunday, October 1
st as they take on St. Norbert College on Homecoming weekend. Kickoff is set for 1:00pm while coverage can be found at cucougars.com.
