First Half
CUC challenged SNC keeper Klara Banemark early, forcing her to make a save 4:33 into the game. The Green Knights got their first shot of the game at the 16:25 mark, but Burnell was there to make the save. Burnell made another save about four minutes later to keep the game tied at 0-0.
St. Norbert kept the pressure on, putting up two more shots on goal for Burnell to save. Fullone put a shot on Banemark at 31:01 to no avail. SNC responded with two more shots on goal, but Burnell continued to stand tall. When the halftime buzzer rang, the two squads stayed knotted up 0-0.
Second Half
Shots were hard to come by in the second half. The first shot on goal came at the 64:55 mark off the foot of Green Knight Kait Schweitzer, but Burnell still proved impossible to beat.
The next, and last, shot of the game came with just 1:25 left to go in the game. Melanie Simon headed a corner kick from Abby Thompson past Burnell to give St. Norbert a 1-0 lead, which proved to be the final score.
