DE PERE, WIS. – The Concordia University Chicago Cougars (1-7, 1-2) hit the road for their first away conference match of the season, falling to the St. Norbert Green Knights (2-5, 1-4) 8-1.
Doubles
All three doubles pairings for the Cougars fell short in their matches. The duo of
Kamila Giza (East Dundee, Ill.) and
Amelia Engelman (McKinney, Texas) battled for the Cougars and showed promise, but would ultimately fall 8-7 during tie breakers.
Singles
The lone point for the Cougars on the day came from freshman Engleman successfully defeating her opponent 6-1 and 6-0.
Tatiana Overton battled in her singles match falling in both sets 6-3 and 7-6.
Unable to find their momentum, the Cougars fall to the Green Knights. They'll stay on the road tomorrow as they continue NACCtion by taking on the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders with opening serve set for 9:00am.
