Ripon, Wis. – The Cougars men's track and field team competed in the Dick Hendricks' Invite at Ripon College as they prepare for the coming indoor track and field conference championship at the end of the month.
Top Cougar Finishes
- The 4x400 relay team of Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio ), Vincent Scarnato (Pottstown, Pa.), Austin Knight (Forest Park, Ill.), and Adrian Mendez (Plano, Ill.) took second with a time of 3:33.55.
- Cardwell finished seventh in the 400 meter with a time of 54.04 which is also a new personal record.
- Mauricio Xochitecatl (Carol Stream, IL) finished ninth in the mile at 4:40.68 and 12th of 34 in the 800 meter at 2:04.78.
- Knight took 15th of 42 runners in the 200 meter with a time of 23.90.
New Personal Records
- Mendez set a personal record in the 400 meter at 55.39.
- Martin Egbo (Williamsburg, Va.) reached a new personal record in the weight throw with a distance of 14.13 meters.
