CLEVELAND, TENN.- The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's track and field team competed at the Lee University Invitational, hosted by Lee University. The Cougars put on strong performances, breaking a meet record and securing multiple personal bests.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

• Korey Randle (East Moline, Ill.) recorded a leap of 6.93m breaking the Invitational record, placing second overall.
• Jamel Goins (Columbus, Ohio) finished seventh in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.08.
• Austin Knight (Forest Park, Ill.)  placed 26th in the 100m with a time of 10.98, followed shortly by Kamren Hannah (El Paso, Texas) finishing 33rd with a time of 11.17 out of 61 finishers.
• Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnati, Ohio) competed in the second half of the decathlon. His best event was the 1500m, finishing fourth with a time of 5:18.84.

 
COUGAR PERSONAL RECORDS

• Nathaniel Boksa picked up a new personal best in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:17.67, finishing eighth.
• Gael Arroyo (Cicero, Ill.) set a new personal record in the 1500m with a time of 4:15.69.
• With a time of 50.32, Vincent Scarnato (Pottstown, Pa.) set a personal best in the 400m.
