RIVER FOREST, Ill. --- Playing two more non-conference matches to close out the fall schedule, the Concordia University Chicago men's tennis team took on the Elmhurst College Blue Jays and the Carroll University Pioneers over two days this week. CUC put up a valiant effort against the Blue Jays but ultimately fell 7-2. Concordia then fell to Carroll 9-0.
The Cougars picked up their first point in the match against Elmhurst at number three doubles.
Diego Loveshe and
Scott Engler defeated their opponents 8-3.
Loveshe continued his strong performance by winning his single match over Adrian Songco by scores of 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (7).
The Cougars then concluded the fall portion of the schedule against Carroll. CUC was unable to pick up a point against the Pioneers, falling 9-0.
