RIVER FOREST, Ill. --- The Concordia University Chicago women's tennis team took on the St. Mary's (IN) Belles on Thursday afternoon. The Cougars were unable to overcome the Belles, falling 8-1.

Heidi Hesse was the lone Cougar to pick up a point on the day. The graduate student came from behind after dropping set one 6-2. Hesse then rallied to take set two 6-2, and the tie breaker 10-4 to pick up her seventh win of the season at number one singles.

The Cougars return to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action on Saturday morning when Illinois Tech comes to River Forest. Opening serve is set for 10:00am. Links to coverage can be found at cucougars.com/coverage.
