RIVER FOREST, ILL. — On Sunday afternoon, the Green Knights of St. Norbert College traveled to Concordia University Chicago to take on the Cougars in a close conference matching resulting in a Green Knight win.
DOUBLES
To start the day off in doubles, the duo of Ali Wingood and Jessica Parker picked up the first Cougar point with a score of 8-4.
SINGLES
The Cougars continued their battle of the day as they secured three of the six singles points. Heidi Hesse took her first match in a dominating fashion 6-1, followed by her second match 6-2.
Picking up the next win for the Cougars, Parker took the court and fell in her first match 6-4, but fought through to take the second forcing a third. Ultimately, Parker prevailed and secured the point for the Cougars. Following in a similar fashion, Alexa Hoover secured a point for the Cougars after a three set stretch.
The Cougars hard-fought match resulted in a heartbreaking 5-4 loss and the Cougars fall 0-4 in conference. They'll be back in action later this week taking on Saint Mary on Thursday and IIT on Saturday, both matches back on the CUC Courts.
