COUNTRYSIDE, Ill. --- Playing the final Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) match this season, the Concordia University Chicago men's tennis team took on the Lakeland University Muskies on Sunday evening. The Cougars battled in the final conference match but came up short by a final score of 8-1.
The Cougars picked up their one point of the match at number four singles.
Joshua Wright was able to best his opponent by scores of 6-4 and 6-3.
Peter Rios battled close in the second set at number one singles, falling 6-4.
The closest doubles match was at number two. Wright and
Caleb Gustafson battled close, but ultimately fell 8-5.
The Cougars have added two more non-conference matches for this week. The first of those coming on Monday night at Wheaton. Opening serve is set for 7:00pm.
