CHICAGO, ILL. — The Concordia University Chicago's men's indoor track and field team opened up their indoor season for the 2022-23 season. They traveled to the Windy City meet, hosted by Chicago State, to take on multiple challenges on the track and field.
On the track, Mauricio Xochitecatl (Carol Stream, IL) found a lot of success in both the 800-meter and one mile races. In the 800-meter, Xochitecatl placed fifth with a time of 2:03.11 and he also collected a new personal record in the one mile with a time of 4:35.70.
Switching to the field, Avery Jones (Hazelwood, Mo.) placed fourth in the high jump with a 1.85-meter jump, leading the way on the men's side. Jaylen Glass (Merrillville, Ind.) also placed as he snagged a fifth place finish in the pole vault with a 3.35-meter jump.
