Box Score Terre Haute, Ind. -- The Concordia University Chicago women's volleyball team traveled to Terre Haute, Ind. to take on Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology this afternoon in the first of three scheduled matches for the weekend.
The non-conference match went four sets, with the Cougars falling to the Fightin' Engineers by a final score of 3-1. CUC was victorious in the second set 27-25, but ultimately lost the other sets by scores 20-25, 12-25, and 27-25, respectively.

Senior libero Julia Beers (Mishawaka, Ind.) tallied 21 digs, the team's highest of the day, and also recorded an ace

Junior Joy Greco (Brookfield, Ill.) contributed 13 of the team's 48 total kills

Sophomore Isabelle Vernengo (Plainfield, Ind.), Grace Heywood (Northbrook, Ill.), and Sophie Kovachevich (Huntley, Ill.) each registered two aces

Vernengo led the team with 39 assists and 13 points
The Cougars will be back in action again tomorrow, Sept. 25, as they take on Illinois Institute of Technology and Blackburn College to close out the tournament. Matches are scheduled to start at 11a.m. and 1:30 p.m. EDT.
