The Concordia University Chicago women's lacrosse team (10-0) added another emphatic win to their phenomenal 2021 season with a 20-5 defeat of the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks (0-3) in Bronzeville on Tuesday, April 13. The victory extends the unbeaten run to 737 days and secures at least one home game in the upcoming Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference tournament.

The Cougars' stars continued to shine as they have all season: junior midfielder Emily Cyrus (Chicago, Ill.) led CUC with eight goals along with an assist, and sophomore attacker
Rylee Orenstein (Walnut Creek, Calif.) scored six times and also added two assists.

This was the fourth consecutive game in which the Cougars scored at least 20 goals, cementing their status as the NACC's best offense with an average of 16.7 goals per game.

The game also saw them build on their strong defense, which entering the day ranked fifth in all of Division III in goals allowed per game. In eight of their 10 contests this season, CUC's opponents scored five goals or fewer.

Remaining on the schedule are two more conference matchups, both at home, when the Cougars will look to secure both a perfect regular season title along with the No. 1 seed in the NACC tournament. They next face Aurora University on Tuesday, April 20.
