The Concordia University Chicago women's lacrosse team (4-0) continued their perfect start to the season with another dominating win on Saturday, March 13, this time with a victory over the Franklin College Grizzlies (0-2).

The Cougars led from start to finish and the ball rarely left the Grizzlies defensive half. They posted a 37-4 advantage on shots and controlled 15 draws to the Grizzlies' four.

Five different Cougars scored, led by junior midfielder
Emily Cyrwus (Chicago, Ill.) and sophomore attacker
Rylee Orenstein (Walnut Creek, Calif.) with five goals each. Senior midfielder
Elizabeth Cyrwus (Chicago, Ill.) and sophomore
Brynn Beetow (Buffalo, N.Y.) each added two goals and defender
Madison Perkins (Louisville, Ky.) rounded out the scoring with one. The Cougars aggressive attacking also produced nine free position opportunities, while the Grizzlies did not record a single free position shot.

With only two goals allowed sophomore goalkeeper
Ryan McGee (Chicago, Ill.) Â improved her goals-against average to 3.26 on the season.

This victory is the second for the Cougars in two meetings with the Grizzlies and extends their regular season winning streak to 12 games dating back to April 2019.

The Cougars' next two games are also at home, as they face Loras College on Thursday, March 18 and Wartburg College on Sunday, March 21.
