RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The final game of the 2018-19 season is here for the Concordia University Chicago Women's Basketball team. CUC will host the Aurora University Spartans as they honor their two seniors

Jessica Slomcheck on Saturday afternoon inside Geiseman Gymnasium. With a win Saturday CUC would secure their third straight season with an above .500 record at home.
Series History: The Cougars and Spartans have met 22 times since the 2006-07 season. CUC holds a 13-9 record over Aurora during that span including a 7-4 record inside Geiseman. The two schools have split the last six matchups dating back to 2016. Aurora took the matchup earlier this season 91-76 though CUC did outscore the Spartans in the second half.
Sam Bloom scored a season high 29 points that night on 11-20 shooting.
About the Cougars: The Concordia University Chicago Cougars celebrate senior day today as the 2018-19 season comes to a close. Last time out CUC lost 75-36 to Benedictine on Wednesday night. Bloom leads the Cougar attack with a 12.2 points per game average on the season.
Crystal Corr is not far behind, shooting over 40 percent from the floor while bringing down 7.8 rebounds per game. This will be the third straight season that Corr has appeared in every game for the Cougars and shot above 40 percent from the floor. CUC leads the NACC in forced turnovers this season, forcing over 20 per game. Despite their season coming to an end before the playoffs, the future is bright for CUC Women's Basketball. They will be set to return all but their two seniors for the 2019-20 season.
About the Spartans: The Aurora University Spartans come into the matchup with CUC 11-12 overall and 11-8 in the NACC. Aurora locked up a postseason berth on Wednesday with a 56-32 win over MSOE. Aurora still does not know their seed for the postseason, which will be decided Saturday. Julie Galauner leads the team and the NACC with a 19.7 points per game average. The sophomore guard has scored 20 or more points 13 times this season including a career high 39 points against Benedictine. Adriana Ramirez is the top post player for the Spartans. The senior center averages 10.8 points per game, and 9.9 rebounds per game. As a team Aurora has four players averaging double-digit points per game.
