Â
Moving onto the final set of Senior Night, CUC looked to finish Marian off in three sets. Back to back scores for Johnson and
Alyssa Henline would give the Cougars their earliest lead of the night and put Concordia-Chicago in the driver's seat. Defensive errors would continue to control the narrative for Marian and the Sabres would try and figure out their woes by taking timeout down 12-7. Out of the timeout, Spitelli hammered in a kill to keep the Cougar momentum rolling. Marian still had not found a way to stop Johnson and she would end the little momentum created by the Sabres with an emphatic spike and kill to extend the lead to 18-11. Moments later,
Shelby Spitz would join the fun with a kill of her own. CUC held onto that lead and would win set three 25-17.
