RIVER FOREST, Ill. – After picking up their third straight home win on Saturday afternoon over Illinois Tech, the Concordia University Chicago Women's Basketball team looks to make it four straight tonight when they host Alverno College. CUC sits just one spot ahead of Alverno in the NACC standings, as the Cougars start a stretch of three games against teams that are in the playoff push.
 
Series History: CUC and Alverno have met 22 times since 2007. CUC holds a 12-10 record against the Inferno during that span. The Cougars swept the season series last season, defeating Alverno 85-64 inside Geiseman. CUC then defeated Alverno on January 13^th at Reiman Gymnasium 76-57 behind a 16 point 12 rebound effort by Crystal Corr.
 
About the Cougars:  CUC looks to extend their winning streak to four at home tonight, which would mark the third season in a row that they have had a streak this long. The Cougars are coming off a 20 point victory of IIT on Saturday afternoon. McKayla Tilton had her best day as a Cougar, draining four threes en route to 14 points on the day. Maddie Vojacek also made her presence felt with seven points and nine rebounds. CUC comes in ranking first in the conference in opponents turnovers a game. The Cougars are forcing 21.1 per game. CUC forced a season high 34 turnovers against IIT. The Cougars also had one of their best shooting days from deep, knocking down 11 threes. CUC held IIT under 30 percent shooting from the floor on the day, the third time that they have done so this year.
 
About the Inferno: The Alverno College Inferno come in looking to stay alive in the playoff chase. They are coming off a thrilling 72-71 win over Rockford on Saturday. Justice Hawkins had a season high 31 points on 14-20 shooting as the Inferno were able to knock down free-throws late to hold on for their third NACC victory of the season. Senior Mackenzie Mathies leads the team in scoring and ranks second in the NACC with a 16.3 points per game average. Mathies is also bringing down a team high 5.7 rebounds per game.
