Cougar Women Set For Showdown With Lakeland

River Forest, Ill. - The second game of the doubleheader will feature two teams who may be fighting each other for tournament position all season long. The Cougars come in as the hot team at 9-2 (5-2 NACC), having won their last four including an 89-51 rout on Blackburn on Wednesday. Crystal Corr continues on a roll for CUC with three straight double-doubles (and reigning NACC Student-Athlete of the Week), but how about the week that Courtney Lofink is having. Lofink posted a triple-double against Dominican with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists before adding 13 more assists against Blackburn. Her first assist tomorrow will be the 500th of her illustrious career, making this a very difficult record to catch for future generations of CUC players!

CUC's women will look to be clicking on all cylinders tomorrow, as Lakeland enters play with a 7-5 record, 4-3 in the NACC. Their top scorer is Miranda Jacobson at 11.7 per game, and the Muskies feature good veteran leadership in Maddy Doll and Rachel Stankevich.
