Madison, Wis.- Looking to gain ground in the race for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference playoffs, the Concordia University Cougar Men's Soccer team took to the pitch today in overcast conditions against the Edgewood College Eagles. CUC would create chances, but were unable to put the finishing touches on shots. Edgewood though was able to net two first half and one second half goals to pull away from the Cougars by a final score of 3-0.

The Eagles proved to be the aggressors early in the match taking the first four shots of the match before Nicholas Bilodeau was able to fire a shot inside the left post from 18 yards out on a perfectly placed ball by Jordan Stark. Making it 1-0 Eagles in the 19
th minute. Edgewood would double the lead just under 20 minutes later. Garrett Lee finished off the second goal of the day from just inside the six-yard box.

CUC created a couple of opportunities late in the half that were not rewarded. Edgewood made it 3-0 early in the second half on a Garrett Lee goal. The Cougars played with a higher sense of urgency the remaining 40 minutes of the half, but came up empty in the scoring column.

The Cougars (2-9; 2-3 NACC) will return to River Forest to take on NACC foe MSOE on Wednesday afternoon. Opening kickoff is set for 4:00pm.
