Volleyball (1-3) - Coming back after a tough battled opening weekend, the CUC Volleyball team will be busy this week with non-conference matches. Highlighting last weekend was the three set victory over MacMurray College, and then the naming of
Jaylynn Johnson to the all-tournament team. The week begins on Tuesday when the Cougars head to North Park for a dual match. The first of the opponents will be North Park. CUC defeated North Park 3-0 to open 2015, but fell to North Park to end the season. The second of the matches will be against North Central who the Cougars fell too last season. The week will not be done there. The Cougars then head to Richmond Indiana for a three game weekend at Earlham College. They will open up the weekend on Saturday against Franklin College in the morning, and then follow with Transylvania in the afternoon. They will then take on the host Earlham College to close the weekend on Sunday.
Women's Soccer (0-1-1)- The Women's Soccer team is coming off a tough fought week, that had two double overtime contest, the first time ever to start the season for Women's Soccer. CUC will have three matches on tap this week, with North Central at home on Wednesday at four. North Central leads the all-time series with CUC 3-2 after defeating CUC in Naperville last year 1-0. CUC then will continue their home stand with a home match on Saturday against UW-Stevens Point. CUC fell to the Pointers last season 2-1 in Stevens Point. CUC closes the week heading to Ripon College on Sunday. CUC leads the all-time series with Ripon 2-0-1. They defeated Ripon last season 2-1 in River Forest.
Men's Soccer (0-2-0)- The Men's Soccer team finally gets to play in River Forest this week. They first head to Watertown Wisconsin where they will take on Maranantha Baptist. Maranantha leads the all-time series 6-4-2 but CUC has taken two of the last three with a draw in-between. CUC won last season's matchup 2-1. The Cougars will then finally return home to take on Illinois College on Sunday. Things have been tight in the previous meetings between these two schools, with CUC having the slight edge all time 2-1-2 overall against the Blues.
Cross Country- After a good showing in Elmhurst last week, CUC now heads up north to Concordia Wisconsin to put their talents to the test once again. The Cougars were led by
Thomas McNamara on the men's side and
Miriama Kisiel on the women's side.
Football (1-0)- Does not play
