March 25, 2014 - Chicago's never-ending winter and its effects on countless athletics fields have forced a change to the home-opening dates for Concordia University Chicago softball. This weekend's conference doubleheaders versus Lakeland College on March 29 and Marian University on March 30 have been relocated to the northwest suburbs.

Melas Sports Complex (1500 W. Central Ave., Mount Prospect, IL 60056) will host the four games beginning at 1:00 on Saturday and 12:00 on Sunday. The complex features four diamonds with turf infields and grass outfields.

Concordia-Chicago will provide live stats of both doubleheaders for fans unable to be there in person. Any last-minute schedule changes due to weather will be announced at www.cucougars.com, although the extended forecast is predicting gradually warming temperatures over both days with little to no chance of precipitation.
