Four Cougars Earn NACC All-Conference Honors

RIVER FOREST, ILL. –  Following their time in the 2026 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament, the Concordia University Chicago softball team continues to keep their story going with four Cougars earning All-Conference accolades. Arissa Santos (Morena Valley, Calif.), Melisa Hadzic (Westchester, Ill.), Alyssa Campos (Eastvale, Calif.), McKyler Morris (Belvidere, Ill.) all earned their spot on the prestigious list. 

SECOND TEAM
Campos earned her second consecutive All-Conference nod after a standout sophomore season. She appeared in all 41 contests for the Cougars while finishing the year with a .372 batting average while leading the team in runs (31), hits (45), doubles (18), and total bases (72). Campos finished top in the conference in doubles while finishing top 20 in walks, home runs, slugging percentage, runs scored, and hits. She posted a career-best four hits and two doubles against MSOE while launching the walkoff home run over Aurora. Campos also worked inside the circle for the Cougars pitching 34 total innings while finishing the year with a 4-3 record. She collected eight strikeouts while posting a 5.35 ERA. 

Hadzic earned her first NACC All-Conferenc honor in her senior season as the team's primary backstop. She posted a .368 batting average in the 40 games she appeared in while leading the squad in home runs with five and RBIs with 32. She also posted 30 runs, 42 hits, and ten doubles. The Westchester native had many highlight moments this season including the game winning home run against Concordia Wisconsin and her career best four hits against Edgewood and seven RBIs against Alverno. She finished top 20 in the NACC in many statistics including slugging percentage, RBIs, home runs, and sacrifice flies. 

HONORABLE MENTION
For the third time in her career, Santos earned NACC All-Conference honors. In her senior campaign, Santos appeared in 40 games and led the Cougars at the plate with a .402 batting average while seeing the majority of the season from the designated player position. Santos finished the season with 41 total hits, 13 doubles, and 11 RBIs while slugging .529. In the NACC, Santos finished eighth overall in total doubles while also making the top 20 list in both on base percentage and batting average. 

Morris notched her second All-Conference award after leading the way in her junior season. The Belvidere native started and appeared in 39 games for the Cougars this season as the primary center fielder. She finished the season with a .349 batting average, 16 runs, 66 hits, 15 doubles, 23 RBIs, one home run, and a team best two triples. She finished the season ranked third in the NACC in doubles. Morris had a career-best four hits and three doubles against Benedictine earlier this season while collecting 77 putouts.
