Kayla Konow (Fort Wayne, Ind.) of the women’s cross country team is honored for the week of Aug. 29-Sept. 4.

 

Konow led the Cougar women in the Elmhurst Earlybird Invitational Sept. 2 with a strong initial run. Her time of 16:22.9 in the 4K race placed her 16th out of the field of 130 runners. Konow’s performance helped the women to a seventh place finish, the highest of the four Northern Athletics Conference teams competing.

 

Konow, the daughter of Matthew and Amy Konow, is a 2011 graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School. She is a freshman elementary education major.
