Danielle McCormick (Oak Park, IL) of the women’s cross-country team is honored for the week of Oct. 24-30.
McCormick earned all-conference honors at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Championships on Oct. 29. She finished in 14th place overall with a 6K time of 25:31.3 on a day where weather conditions were affecting times of all the teams. Seeded 19th going into the competition, “Danielle settled in with some of the runners a few place above her and ran much of the race with that pack, which proved to be a good strategy for her,” said CUC cross-country head coach Dave Risch.
McCormick, the daughter of Tony and Tracy McCormick, is a 2014 graduate of Oak Park-River Forest High School in Oak Park, IL. She is a junior exercise science major.
