Marche Smith (Oak Park, Ill.) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the week of Dec. 27-Jan. 2.

           

Smith averaged 21 points in the Cougar women’s two games last week and maintained a 21.3 scoring average through 10 games this season. The 5’7” guard scored nine of her game-high 27 points in a closing 14-0 run that pushed the Cougars past Lakeland College on Dec. 28 by a 57-53 score. Smith also tallied 15 points in Concordia’s Dec. 30 game against Concordia University Wisconsin.

 

Smith, the daughter of Charles Bolden and Charlette Smith, is a 2007 graduate of Trinity High School in River Forest, Illinois. She is a senior sports management major.
