Joe Silva (Arlington Heights, IL) of the baseball team is honored for the week of May 2-8.
Silva hit .625 on 10 hits in 16 at-bats last week against Lakeland College and Benedictine University. The outfielder hit a grand slam in CUC’s second game versus Benedictine on May 7. The previous night, he went 4-5 with two doubles and two RBIs in game two against Lakeland. For the weekend, Silva recorded a slugging percentage of 1.063.
Silva, the son of Stephen and Alison Silva, is a 2014 graduate of Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, IL. He is a sophomore physical education major.
