James Morgan (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the week of Dec. 27-Jan. 2.

           

Morgan posted his second double-double of the season in Concordia’s 63-48 win over Pomona Pitzer College on Dec. 30. The 6’6” center scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds (five on the offensive end) as the Cougars evened the record for their California trip and improved to 6-5 on the season. For the season, Morgan is averaging 10.3 points and 8.4 rebounds while shooting .588 from the field; Morgan shot 8-13 (.615) in the Cougars’ two games against Pomona Pitzer and Concordia University Irvine.

           

Morgan, the son of Kevin and Jill Morgan, is a 2004 graduate of Kennedy High School. He is currently enrolled in Concordia’s graduate MBA program.
