Julianne Nation (Oswego, IL) of the softball team is honored for the period of Feb. 8-14.
Nation hurled the Cougars to a season-opening 5-3 win over Albion College in Brighton, MI on Feb. 14. She pitched a complete seven-inning game, allowing just four hits and one walk in giving up three runs (two earned). “Julianne finished strong for us in her freshman season, and for her to start the new season with this effort is great news for our pitching staff,” said CUC softball coach Sarah O’Malley-Fisher.
Nation, the daughter of David and Andrea Nation, is a 2014 graduate of Oswego High School in Oswego, IL. She is a sophomore marketing major.
