Angelik Young (Crete, IL) of the women’s basketball team is honored for the week of Dec. 28-Jan. 3.
Young averaged 10.7 points and 10.3 rebounds through the Cougars’ three games last week. She notched two double-doubles last week including a 20-point, 15-rebound effort in the Dec. 30 game against Whittier College, the 15 rebounds marking her season-high total. Currently, Young is eighth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, averaging just over eight rebounds per game.
Young, the daughter of Selena Maynie, is a 2012 graduate of Crete-Monee High School in Crete, IL. She is a senior graphic arts major.
