Daniel Parraga (Long Beach, CA) of the men’s soccer team is honored for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4.
Parraga has been key to an improving Cougars’ defense, most notably in a 1-0 overtime game against perennial power Dominican University on Sept. 30. “Daniel is still learning the collegiate game, but he is already ahead of the curve in many ways,” said CUC head coach Micah Middendorf. “He has played consistently well and has been dominant in the back line, closing down the opponents but still able to bring the ball forward at times.”
Parraga, the son of Eduardo and Kori Parraga, is a 2014 graduate of Orange Lutheran High School in Orange, CA. He is a freshman communications major.
