Carlos Olavarria (Rosemont, IL) of the baseball team is honored for the week of March 23-29.

Olavarria went 5-6 in the first game of CUC baseball’s doubleheader at Concordia University Wisconsin on March 28. The leftfielder had four singles and a triple among his five hits in the 16-7 victory. Olavarria scored three runs and drove in four runs, two of those on a bases-loaded single in the third inning that gave the Cougars a 4-1 lead.

Olavarria, the son of Carlos Olavarria and Marybeth Burgos, is a 2011 graduate of East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL. He is a senior sport and fitness major.
