Deontay Young (Chicago, Ill.) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the week of

Nov. 15-21.

           

Young averaged 13.7 points as the Cougar men jumped out to a 3-0 start for the season. He led the Cougars with 18 points including two clutch three-point baskets in overtime of the 76-69 win over Coe College on Nov. 19. In addition, the Cougars’ 5’10” point guard dished out 11 assists for the week including a game-high seven in the Nov. 20 win against Blackburn College.

 

Young, the son of Euggine Johnson, is a 2007 graduate of Lincoln Park High School. He is a senior business management major.
