Alisha Johnson (Coal City, IL) of the women’s soccer team is honored for the week of Sept. 15-22.
Johnson’s fifth goal of the season came with 2.1 seconds remaining in the second overtime against Anderson University on Sept. 21 and gave the Cougars a thrilling 2-1 victory. Her shot came from the right side and beat the keeper just under the crossbar. Johnson is tied for the team lead in goals and, with her four assists, leads the team in points with 14.
Johnson, the daughter of Brian and Beverly Johnson, is a 2013 graduate of Coal City High School in Coal City, IL. She is a sophomore biology major.
