Kostas Doxakis (Thessaloniki, Greece) of the men’s basketball team is honored for the period of Dec. 29 – Jan. 4.
Doxakis came off the bench to score a career-high 21 points, 18 in the second half, to help the Cougar men to a 79-74 win over the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Jan. 4. He hit seven of his eight shots in the second half including both three-point attempts and both of his free throws. For the game, Doxakis finished 8-10 from the field including 3-3 from long range.
Doxakis, the son of George and Elina Doxakis, is in his first season with the Cougars after transferring from Morton College in Cicero, IL. He is a sophomore sports management major.
