C.J. Woodford (Detroit, MI) of the football team is honored for the week of Nov. 11-17.
Woodford rushed for 219 yards, the fourth largest single-game total in school history, in the Cougars’ 48-22 win over Maranatha Baptist Bible College on Nov. 16. The running back tied a school record with four rushing touchdowns in the game including runs of 85 and 74 yards. The effort was Woodford’s fourth game of the season with over 100 rushing yards, and he averaged 109.2 yards over the Cougars’ final seven games.
Woodford, the son of JoAnn Conner, is a 2008 graduate of John Glenn Higth School in Westland, Michigan. He is a junior sports management major.
