Ahissa Bustos (Island Lake, IL) of the women’s soccer team is honored for the week of Oct. 7-13.

Bustos scored in three consecutive games last week in recording her first points of the season. Included in her output were the game-winning goal in a 3-0 win at Lakeland College Oct. 12 and the game-tying goal in a 1-1 draw with Marian University Oct. 13. She also scored a goal and assisted on another in the Cougars’ 14-0 rout of Robert Morris University – Lake County on Oct. 8.

Bustos, the daughter of Bernie and Susana Bustos, is a 2011 graduate of Wauconda High School in Wauconda, Illinois. She is a sophomore law and justice major.
