Kamile Udrenaite (Crystal Lake, IL) of the women's track & field team is honored for the week of April 29-May 5.
Udrenaite has enjoyed a breakout season in 2013, making her marks in virtually all of the throwing events in the Cougars' record book. This weekend, Udrenaite earned the NAC Women's Field Athlete of the Meet given to the highest point scorer in field events. Udrenaite won both the shot put with a 39' 9 3/4" and hammer throw with a 142' 8'. She also took second place in the discus with a 129' 2" giving her a total of 28 team points earned.
Udrenaite, the daughter of Greg and Ilma Udrenaite, is a 2011 graduate of Crystal Lake South High School in Crystal Lake, Illinois. She is a sophomore psychology major.
