Sarah James (Riverside, IL) of the softball team is honored for the week of April 22-28.

James led the Cougar softball team with a .429 batting average over eight games last week as the team clinched a spot in the Northern Athletics Conference tournament. She had two RBI games Apr. 25 against Wisconsin Lutheran College and Apr. 28 against Edgewood College. James was also cited for her excellent defensive work at second base, providing steadiness in the field but also making a couple of difficult catches.

James, the daughter of Kenneth and Cheryl, is a 2008 graduate of Riverside-Brookfield High School in Riverside, Illinois. She is a senior art education major.
