Jamal Thomas (Weirsdale, FL) of the men’s indoor track team is honored for the week of Feb. 25-March 3.

Thomas broke his own school record from one week ago in the long jump with a 47’ 6 ½” mark at the Gill Last Chance Qualifier at Carthage College on March 1. His effort puts him 14th nationally in NCAA Division III and puts him on the cusp of qualifying for the national championships in the event.

Thomas, the son of Ante and Joyce Thomas, is a 2008 graduate of Lake Weir High School in Ocala, Fla. He is a senior marketing major.
