Jamal Taylor (Oak Park, IL) of the men's indoor track team is honored for the week of Feb. 4-10.

Taylor ran all-time personal bests in the 200 and 400-meter dashes at the Chicagoland Indoor Championships at North Central College on Feb. 9. He placed tenth among 45 runners (many representing NCAA Divisions I and II) in the 400 with a time of 51.55 seconds, which is currently second among all conference runners. Taylor placed 16^th out of 60 runners in the 200 with a time of 23.58 seconds and also ran a 52.8 as the anchor leg of the Cougars’ 4 x 400 relay.
           
Taylor, the son of Linda Vasquez, is a 2005 graduate of Oak Park-River Forest High School in Oak Park, Ill. He is a sophomore law and justice major.
