Concordia University Chicago Athletics

Courtney Nurczyk (Romeoville, IL) of the women’s indoor track team is honored for the week of Jan. 28-Feb. 3.

Nurczyk established a new school record in the 300-meter dash with a time of 47.52 at the University of Wisconsin/Parkside Open on Feb. 2. She finished in third place in that event as well as the triple jump where she posted a leap of 31’ 0”. Her efforts led Concordia’s women to a second-place finish in the meet.
           
Nurczyk, the daughter of Craig and Dawn Smith, is a 2012 graduate of Romeoville High School. She is a freshman elementary education major.
