Jamal Thomas (Weirsdale, FL) of the men’s indoor track team is honored for the week of Jan. 28-Feb. 3.

Thomas won the triple jump in his first action of the season at the UW-Parkside Open on Feb. 2. His winning mark measured at 45’ 5 ¼” and put him second on the school’s all-time list. Thomas also placed fifth in the long jump with a 19’ 10 ¾” effort.

Thomas, the son of Ante and Joyce Thomas, is a 2008 graduate of Lake Weir High School in Ocala, Fla. He is a senior marketing major.
