Anthony Even (Franklin Park, Ill.) of the baseball team is honored for the week of March 5-11.

Even hit .444 (16-36) on the Cougar baseball team’s 7-1 trip to Arizona. He recorded a slugging percentage of .556 on the strength of two doubles and a triple. Even’s 11 runs scored were second-highest on the team. The third baseman played solid defense as well, handling 21 of 23 chances successfully for a .913 percentage.

Even, the son of Warren and Ann Even, is a 2007 graduate of West Leyden High School in Northlake, Ill. He is a senior business management major.
