Olivia Zander


Olivia Zander joined the Concordia University Chicago staff November 2014 as an assistant athletic trainer. 

Zander earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2014 at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. She served as a student athletic trainer for various sports such as football, softball, track and field and as a student physician extender at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL. Zander was also involved as an assistant track and field coach at Kingsley Jr. High in Normal, IL as well as a medical volunteer for a number of years at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
 

During her undergraduate work at Illinois State, Zander completed an internship with NovaCare Rehabilitation where she divided her time between working at a physical therapy clinic in Chicago as well as Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, Illinois. 

Upon graduating, Zander began working for Athletico Physical Therapy in August of 2014 providing outreach athletic training services to the football program at Elmhurst College and now specifically at Concordia University Chicago.
 

Olivia is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. She is a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Illinois by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as well as an NATABOC certified athletic trainer. She is certified in CPR/First Aid and is a former Red Cross Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (WSI). 

Zander is from New Lenox, Illinois and is the oldest of three girls.
