Concordia University Chicago Athletics

Ashlynn Smith was named to the Concordia University Chicago Women's Volleyball staff in the summer of 2020.

Smith graduated from South Dakota State University in May 2020 with a BA in Sport and Recreation Management cum laude.  She will be studying for her MBA in Sports Management. 
 
At SDSU, Smith played on the volleyball team all four years. In 111 matches she started in 393 sets in her career. She finished with 847 kills averaging .179% hitting percentage. She finished her career with 188 total blocks. She made the 2016 All-Freshman Team and the 2018 and 2019 Summit League Honor Roll and Commissioner’s List. Before college Smith was a standout at New Prairie High School in New Carlisle, IN. While at New Prairie, the team made it to Semi-state her Sophomore, Junior and Senior season. 
 
She is entering her first year as a graduate assistant after coaching and interning at Pentagon Volleyball Club in Sioux Falls, SD.
